“Highways and Byways” rolling into PenFed Realty in Leesburg Berkshire Hathaway Home Services PenFed Realty continues its tradition of exclusively showcasing artists of the Loudoun Sketch Club with Elaine Nunnally’s, “Highways and Byways” Painting the Open Road collection.

Prior to this event, exhibits have been featured at the Hamilton office. This time, artwork will be hung at the Leesburg office (714 East Market St.) The artist reception will take place on Thursday, February 23rd from 5-7PM.

The artist’s inspiration for this watercolor series came from driving back and forth on Interstate 81. “I noticed how abstract and beautiful the landscape was,” Nunnally remembered. “It was a great starting point. I thought I would make it different by using design elements especially color. That was 2007. I’ve been having fun with it ever since.”

PenFed’s managing broker, Sue Puleo, was excited about the exhibit’s subject and execution. “Elaine’s work is so dramatic. The highways create sweeping vistas that take you along for the ride. Who would have guessed commuting could be so spellbinding? Anyone who travels for a living needs to see these watercolors.”

“Highways and Byways”-Painting the Open Road is on display until April 15, 2017 at the Leesburg realty office. Elaine Nunnally will be on hand for the artist reception on February 23, 2017. Refreshments will be provided by Berkshire Hathaway Home Services PenFed Realty. For more information call 703-777-8200.
