    Award-winning painter Anne Stine debuts her latest collection of encaustic works titled, “Every Rock Has a Story,” from Sept. 7 - Oct. 15, at the Athenaeum Gallery located in Alexandria, Virginia. Her collection of 20 geological paintings explores the interconnection between Earth and humanity through representational and abstract imagery.

    Reception October 1, 4-6 pm

    Excited to be teaching at The Arts of Great Falls!  Fun Fridays are a way to try a new technique, medium or material in one concise three hour session.

    September 29th 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm

    Do you like gelato? Cold wax is like painting with it, but it doesn't melt.  I will walk you through the process of incorporating this velvety medium into your oil painting.  The Arts of Great Falls is located at 756 Walker Road, Great Falls, 22066. 703-232-1575.

    Oak Spring Garden Foundation is partnering with Long Branch Historic House and Farm to host a special exhibit: Fabrics of Life–Textiles From the Bunny Mellon Collection as well as paintings of Bunny Mellon's formal garden, the Rokeby Farm and the Oak Spring landscape.     I love and frequently visit Yellowstone National Park. While there and while painting en Plein air in the Lamar Valley and Tetons, I receive inspiration for great paintings. Also I bring home the very best photos using IPhoneography and a Nikon 83X Wide Optical Zoom. Please join me at Ashburn Public Library to see “Babies of Yellowstone June 2023”. Representative are oils of a black bear sow and cub, Bighorn lambs playing and a moose and calf plus more. The show opens September 1 and runs to October 31.     EXCITING NEWS - I am thrilled that one of my paintings, 'Arrival', has been chosen for the 2023 American Impressionist Society Associate Member Online Exhibition. 1654 entries were submitted. To be one of 243 chosen for the exhibit just made my day.

    On June 14 and 15. Love Your Mother Co. conducted their second annual art gallery fundraiser event at Rust Manor House, Leesburg, VA. It was an honour to be granted the 4th place for my 'Spring In Arizona' artwork. A 9X12 oil colours on panel.

    Suharshini Seneviratne’s colored pencil piece “Jewels on the Vine” has been juried into the Colored Pencil Society of America(CPSA) 2023 International Exhibition. The exhibition and convention will be held at The Summit Hotel, Cincinnati, Ohio. This exhibit showcases 101 works done exclusively in 100% colored pencils by artists from across the world. The exhibition runs July 2nd through July 30th and the convention July 26th through July 29th.
