Our programs |
   | Paint Outs Members are welcome to participate in paint-outs at both private and public venues in the greater Northern Virginia Area. Paint-Outs at private locations occur on Tuesdays from 10am to 2pm. From late April through early November with a break in the hottest days of summer. Our summer program varies from year to year. |
| Workshops During the winter months and during our summer break we schedule workshops or other events for our members. Some have been with national artists, some just working gatherings of members at a local library. Workshops have been local and in-person and some have been live online zoom workshops. These events depend on having someone willing to coordinate them. |
| Shows We hold at least one public art show and sale yearly. Some years we have multiple shows. Artists retain all of their proceeds. We may require a hang fee if we will be processing sales to recoup the fees for credit card processing. In some cases we partner with a local non-profit. In that case, a percentage of the sale goes to the non-profit. |
| Community We have member meetings twice a year, a holiday party in December with a holiday card exchange and a summer picnic in July. We publish a featured artist article, announcements about local calls for art, plein air competitions and club related information on our website. We have a private Facebook page where members can share their 'art news', successes, or questions. We have a public Instagram account where amins post about happenings and events in which at least three members participate. We also have a public FB page "Friends of the Loudoun Sketch Club" to promote our shows and member happenings. |
