Membership Agreement 

The following items are the terms of agreement for membership in the Loudoun Sketch Club. Please read this carefully as you will be agreeing to all when you apply for membership.

Member Benefits

As a member of The Loudoun Sketch Club, the Member will receive the following benefits:

• Ability to participate in club activities including paint-outs, shows and workshops

• Ability to access member-only pages on the website

• Promotion available via the member directory of the website and posts to social media of events

• Invitation to our members-only Facebook group

All of these benefits are dependent on the willingness of volunteers from the club to participate in their execution. These benefits may be limited if not enough members’ volunteer.

Membership Dues

Member dues are $30 per year and are due on Sept 1 of each year. These may be paid by credit card (Mastercard or Visa) using the Loudoun Sketch Club website. You will be notified of pending renewal around August 1st of each year. If payment is not received by Sept 1st your membership renewal is past due. By Sept 15th, your membership is considered lapsed with decreased access to member only events and pages on the website. If your renewal payment is not received by Sept 30th, your membership will be suspended, and you will no longer have member privileges. To restore membership, you will need to reapply.

Restrictions

The Member agrees that they will not:

Share their login information with non-members.

• Reproduce any of the information received as part of their membership and/or share that information with non-members unless the event includes guests.

• Post inappropriate, inaccurate, or offensive content to any membership forums or discussions including our website, Facebook or Instagram accounts.

• Post any photos of paint-out venues to social media.

• Disrespect the property and privacy of our venue owner

Member Requirements

The Member agrees that they will attend bi-yearly member meetings, participate in activities and volunteer on committees to help meet the needs of the club to the best of their ability. Members agree to ‘opt-in’ to receiving emails from Loudoun Sketch Club via the Wild Apricot application for events, membership, etc. as this is the club’s main means of communication with members.

Liability

The Member agrees not to hold the Loudoun Sketch Club, its officers, members, employees, or agents liable for any personal injury, property damage, or any other tangible or intangible harm that may occur while participating in the membership or related activities.

The Member agrees that the Loudoun Sketch Club cannot guarantee any results from their membership. Any negative or positive results that might occur during the membership are the result of the Member’s own personal choices. 

Privacy

The Loudoun Sketch Club will not share any contact or personal information about the Member with other members, non-members or any third parties except as directed by the Member or as the member allows via our member management system through our website. 

Membership Termination

The Loudoun Sketch Club has a right to terminate the Member’s membership if any of the terms and the conditions of this Agreement are violated. In that case the Loudoun Sketch Club will refund prorated dues to the member. The Member can terminate their membership at any point and for any reason and will not be charged for their next billing cycle. If a member terminates their membership no prorating of dues will occur.
