The Riksmuseum in Amsterdam hosted the largest exhibition of Vermeer artworks in history — and it will never be repeated. Tickets were SOLD OUT in days, but audiences can enjoy a private viewing of this spectacular exhibition, accompanied by the director of the Riksmuseum and the curators of the show. This momentous retrospective is the largest ever devoted exclusively to the “master of light”, with 28 of his 35 known works from countries all over the world. Never have so many Vermeer masterpieces been brought together in one place. Directed by David Bickerstaff, presented by Exhibition On Screen. 90 minutes.

Loudoun Arts Council
Rita Sartori from Friends of Leesburg Public Arts (FOLPA) has two opportunities for public art displays. The first is at the Visit Loudoun Visitor’s Center and the second at Raymond James offices. The Visit Loudoun center has display space which changes out every 2 months. Rita is currently looking to fill the Nov/Dec time slot and to create a list of artists available throughout next year. The space is in a hallway and bathroom area of the center. There are 4 stationary hangers in the bathroom and 10 adjustable wall hangers in the hallway with the potential to put 2 smaller images or 1 single image per hanger. (So between 14-20 pcs of art.). The artist is promoted by the Visitor’s Center and featured on First Friday events. You would handle your own sales via information on your art label. There is no charge and no commissions taken from sales. The second opportunity is at the Raymond James offices in Leesburg. This is a private building with employees and clients passing through. This opp is for a 6 month display. The public is invited in only for First Friday events. No charge and no commissions taken.

See your art in a whole new way – on a Loudoun County wine label!
The Loudoun Heights AgriTourism Council is looking for artwork for the wine label of our 2022 Valle Tranquilo. This red wine blend is a collaboration of five Loudoun County vineyards, centered along Harpers Ferry Rd and Charles Town Pike.
Last year, we had over 50 submissions for our label and Hope Hanes’s Between Showers was selected as highlighting a lovely Loudoun County vineyard scene.
For our 2022 label, we would again like to feature an original piece of 2-dimensional art that embodies all we love about Loudoun County, the Loudoun County landscape, and the wine itself.
Representational art as well as Abstracts are welcome. If the artwork is of a vineyard, no one specific vineyard should be recognizable in the piece. No photography, please.
