Artist Statement:
I enjoy the optimal experience of putting paint on canvass. I like contemporary representational paintings - to render beauty of a Landscape, distinctive setting of a Still Life, charm of flowers, or mood of a Portrait.
I studied under the instructions of a master painter in Los Angeles and became an instructor at the popular Art School he founded. The school is named Mission:Renaissance, with the mission to teach skillful painting techniques to even novice.
I have now relocated from L.A. to northern Virginia where I have joined Plein Air groups to regularly paint at diverse locations of the great outdoors. I also appreciate the privilege of regularly painting at the National Gallery of Art, being one of the few granted the museum's permit to copy directly from the original master paintings.
