Artist Statement:
For much of his life Robert W. Dowler has enjoyed creating art. He engages in drawing, watercolor painting and printmaking. He is largely self-taught but has attended many workshops in art techniques from respected national and local instructors. Mr. Dowler enjoys depicting landscapes, seascapes, and marine scenes. He also enjoys plein air painting and figure drawing. Recently, he has undertaken white-line woodcut printing.
Mr. Dowler has had paintings accepted in state and local juried shows, and has won some awards. He is a member of several art organizations including the Loudoun Sketch Club.
