Artist Statement:
My art explores the vibrant interplay between color and design, emerging from a deep connection to nature, a higher power, and a sense of presence and place. Color is central to my expression, chosen not simply to record what is before me but to evoke emotion and capture fleeting moments, much like the landscapes and experiences that inspire me. The texture and spontaneity of paint convey the energy of the now, while design provides structure and coherence.
I aim to create visually captivating and resonant pieces, inviting viewers to experience and connect with the beauty and complexity of the present moment, as seen through the lens of my paintings, which are often captured “en plein air” (outdoors) in natural and changing light.
