Artist Statement:
I am an award winning acrylic artist. I work from my home in Northern Virginia. I started painting over 20 years ago in oil then switched to acrylic. I hand paint with acrylics on stretched canvas.
I love spending time outdoors, Virginia offeres beautiful scenery year round. For me the ideal painting makes you feel like you could "be" there - I love painting landscapes for that reason. My style is semi realism - I create beautiful art by using multiple references, moving, adding or subtracting certain elements to enhance the subject and create an idelic scene that the viewer can emotionally connect with. Bringing magic to the world while having creative flexibility is what makes painting so enjoyable for me.
