    An Artist's Return to Awe

    and Wonder Solo Exhibit

    The exhibit includes fifty+ artworks started during or inspired by Robyn's month-long residency at Bandelier National Monument. The exhibit shares her adventure of discovery and growth through her art. The intention is for you to leave inspired to seek new vistas; to find and nourish your own adventurer and inner child again; to reclaim your own sense of awe and wonder.

    "Nature's Narrative"

    "Nature’s Narrative" delves into the intricate connection between Earth and humanity, examining this relationship through the lens of nature. This collection of encaustic and cold wax paintings embodies Anne's passion for the beauty of nature, specifically regarding its geometry, patterns, colors, and textures in geological formations and the forest understory. Delving into deeper artistic exploration of these elements, she showcases the parallels between nature and humanity’s commonplace stories of transformation, endurance, and community. The collection will be on exhibition at

    The Byrne Gallery in Middleburg, VA, from April 3 - 28, 2024.

    The reception is scheduled for Saturday, April 13, 4-7 pm.

    The Artist Talk is scheduled for Saturday, April 20, 2 pm.

    A solo exhibition of contemporary encaustic and cold wax landscapes in a variety of sizes by Anne Stine.

    'Surprised by Joy' is inspired by everyday encounters, that immediately evoke a smile, spark joy, and make one's heart leap. Suha's colored pencil piece, 'My Sunshine' will be on display at the Franklin Park Art Center, March 20th - April 7th.

    Opening reception to be held on March 20th, from 6:00-7:30 pm.

    Art League Faculty/Student Show

    Michelle Gate's artwork will be part of the student & faculty showcase at the Torpedo Factory Art Center in Alexandria, VA from until March 3, 2024. There will be a closing reception Sunday, March 3rd from 2-4PM.


    Restore the Wild

    The Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources will have a display of artwork featuring the endangered Eastern Spotted Skunk. Artwork by Michelle Gates will be on display as a part of the exhibit March 8-29 at the Pine Camp Cultural Arts and Community Center in Richmond, VA. There will be an opening reception March 8th from 6-8PM.



     


    Turning A New Leaf

    Artwork by Michelle Gates will be on display at Green Spring Gardens in Alexandria, VA from March 5 until April 29 as a part of the Vienna Art Society's "Turning A New Leaf" exhibit. There will an artists reception Sunday, March 10 from 1-3PM.

    2nd Annual DMV Exhibit at Calloway Fine Art and Consulting

    Kathleen's painting, Down The Mountain, was accepted into the exhibit at Calloway Gallery on Wisconsin Avenue in Washington D.C. The show runs through April 6th.  The opening and reception is:

    "Bigger Things" Florals and Landscapes by Pat Whittle

    Ashburn Library

    March 4th


    Beginning March 4th Pat's exhibit "Bigger Things" will be available for viewing at the Ashburn Library in Ashburn, Virginia. Inspired by Hans Hoffman's quote "There are bigger things to be seen in nature than the object", this exhibit will be a collection of new acrylic florals and landscapes in oil.

    Reston Art Gallery's Annual Invitational Exhibition

    Every year each member of Reston Art Gallery invites an artist to join in their group exhibit. In this year's show, Leanne Fink will be participating as a guest of Rosemarie Forsythe.     Calloway Fine Art & Consulting's Local Flavor/Local Artist, 2nd Annual DMV Exhibition

    Calloway Fine Art & Consulting is pleased to announce their group exhibition of 25 local artists showing artwork inspired by DC, Virginia, and Maryland. 50 pieces were chosen from over 350 submissions. Leanne Fink's painting, 'Rolling Rhythm of the Shenandoah' has been selected for the show which runs March 9 - April 6, 2024. Opening Reception is Saturday, March 9th, 3-5pm.     13th annual Art of the Piedmont Auction to benefit Middleburg Montessori School - Auction

    13th annual Art of the Piedmont auction to benefit Middleburg Montessori School is an evening showcasing the work of talented local professional artists while supporting Montessori education. Leanne Fink is participating for her fifth year. She is offering 4 paintings for sale. Online bidding will begin on March 8th, 2024 and will be followed by a live auction and reception on Friday, March 15th from 6pm to 8pm. The event will take place at the Middleburg Community Center, 300 W. Washington Street, Middleburg, VA 20118. Tickets are available online.

    Peony Workshop in Oils

    Join us for a weekend workshop perfectly timed to paint one of the queens of the springtime garden, the ephemeral peony. I will teach all the basics of painting and drawing from life as well as wade into more sublime effects the peony offers such as transparency and subtle color transitions.

    This adult class is open to all levels from beginner to advanced.
