32nd Annual Juried Show - Strathmore Arts

January 26 - March 2

Pat Whittle's painting "Red Sky" has been juried into the 32nd Annual Juried Show at Strathmore Mansion in Rockville, MD. Her painting is well suited to the show PRISM: Connections in Color. In her entry she explains "As an artist and concerned environmentalist I both want to celebrate the landscape and warn of its current poor trajectory. The unnatural flow of the river, the solid red sky (danger), and the lack of clarity in certain elements of the painting I hope come together to generate a sense of unease that something is not right."

51st Annual Exhibition

The Fog Rolled In To Obscure Our View of the Sunset

Lori is thrilled that her pastel painting "The Fog Rolled In To Obscure Our View of the Sunset" was selected for the "Selections from the PSA 51st Annual Exhibition" at the Flora B. Giffuni Gallery of the Butler Institute of American Art, Youngstown, OH. This show comprises 24 paintings chosen from the Pastel Society of America's online exhibition, by Dr. Louis A. Zona, director and head curator of the museum. The exhibit opens January 23rd.

The gallery exhibit runs through February 10th. As the title suggests, all the fine art in the is 9” x 12” or smaller. Amy's painting, "J", was accepted by jury into The Art League's January 2024 Still Life exhibit in the Torpedo Factory Art Center. The show will run from January 8-January 28, 2024 in The Art League Gallery. She is painting her way through the alphabet - everything (well, mostly everything) in this painting starts with the letter J.

The members of the ValeArts group have been invited to show our work at a special Encore holiday show at Arts Herndon (750 Center Street, Historic Herndon, VA) from December 1st, 2023 through January 2, 2024.
